How to make a valid Wall enclosure
- Choose the interior first. Decide which tiles are worth enclosing before spending the limited Wall pieces offered in your run.
- Build a continuous edge. Each Wall connection must meet through a horizontal or vertical neighbor.
- Check every corner. Two pieces touching only at their corners leave a diagonal gap and do not close the area.
- Confirm the current multiplier. The public game string contains a variable rather than the resolved live value.
Diagonal versus orthogonal connections
A diagonal touch looks visually close, but the Wall description explicitly excludes diagonal connections. Think in grid steps: you must be able to trace the boundary by moving only up, down, left or right from one Wall segment to the next.
Red Earth changes where Walls fit
The public v1.0.2 string for Red Earth says Wall counts as Martial and can be placed on Sand. That opens layouts that the normal placement rule may reject and can make Wall relevant to Martial effects. The string does not publish any extra numeric bonus.
Standard replaces the normal Wall multiplier
Standard is not a free addition to the usual Wall reward. Its string says Wall no longer provides the normal multiplier; instead, Standard grants a different multiplier for each set number of enclosed tiles. Both numbers remain variables in the public archive, so compare the live cards before choosing the larger enclosure.
Do not confuse Demo placement history with the live limit
The official Demo v8 notes increased Wall placements from five to six. That confirms an older balance change, not the current full-release count. Your live card, upgrades and build version determine the limit you should plan around now.
