Martial replaced Maritime in the newer demo

Crux Games describes Martial as a guild built around removing buildings and the interactions created by removal. Maritime was removed from this demo version, but the developer explicitly says it will return in the full release.

Progression now unlocks systems gradually

The overhaul changed the demo from presenting everything at once to unlocking mechanics, guilds, buildings and heirlooms over time. It also added a new unlock system and victory screen.

  • Mechanics unlock gradually.
  • Guilds and buildings enter the pool through progression.
  • Heirlooms are also tied to the revised unlock structure.
  • A new victory screen presents progression results.

Semi-procedural islands replace the repeated map

The new demo generates semi-procedural maps instead of sending every run to the same island layout. The official post does not describe the generation algorithm, seed controls or exact map-size range.

City Council quests add alternative goals

City Council quests were introduced as alternative mini-goals during a run. The announcement confirms their existence but does not provide a complete quest list or reward table.

The old demo remains available

Players who want the previous demo can access it through the old_demo beta branch in the Steam library. Because it is a separate legacy build, its building availability and balance should not be mixed with the newer demo.
